Mallory was my cousin. She was also Garrett’s first love. "Cass," Garrett said, his tone softening in a rare effort to soothe me. "Mallory saved my life back in the day. If it weren't for her, I might not even be standing here. Be reasonable. I’ll take you to the Arctic next time." A bitter taste spread across my tongue.
